(서울, 한국 2018년 4월 25일 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) United Dance Organisation이 올 11월 3~4일 중국에서 제1회 아시아 태평양 스트리트 댄스 챔피언십(Asia Pacific Street Dance Championships)을 개최한다고 발표했다. 세계적인 스포츠 IP 운영업체 Cherry Sports와 공동으로 개최하는 최고의 행사인 이 대회는 중국 충쭤 시에서 이틀간 열리는 이 환상적인 행사에 한국 전역의 스트리트 댄서들을 초대한다. 이 대회는 상금 10,000달러를 받고, 아시아 태평양 스트리트 댄스 챔피언에 등극하며, 월드 챔피언십에서 자국을 대표할 기회를 제공한다.

아시아 태평양 스트리트 댄스 챔피언십은 아시아와 오스트랄라시아 전역에서 연령에 상관없이 모든 댄서와 팀이 자신의 재능과 기술을 선보일 멋진 기회를 제공한다. 주말에 열리는 이 대회에서 댄서들은 힙합, 브레이크댄스, 파핑 및 락킹(Locking) 같은 인기 스트리트 댄스 스타일을 포함해 열광적인 루틴을 선보일 것으로 기대된다. 업계 최고의 안무가와 스트리트 댄스의 아버지로 알려진 Buddha Stretch를 포함한 유명 전문 댄서로 구성된 유명인사 심사위원단이 이들을 지켜볼 예정이다.

각 부문의 1위 우승자는 내년 8월 유럽에서 열리는 UDO 월드 챔피언십의 출전 자격을 얻게 된다. 찬사를 받아온 UDO 월드 챔피언십에는 나흘간 10,000명 이상이 모일 예정이다. 작년에는 일본팀 Kagoshima가 O18 상급 월드 챔피언으로 등극했다. 올해 Kagoshima는 타이틀 방어를 위해 대회에 출전할 예정이다.

Global Street Dance Organisation Invites Dancers Across South Korea to Asia Pacific Street Dance Championships

SEOUL, South Korea, April 25, 2018/PRNewswire/ -- The United Dance Organisation are delighted to announce that they are bringing their inaugural Asia Pacific Street Dance Championships to China this November 3-4th 2018. The prestigious championship event, held in partnership with global sports IP operator, Cherry Sports, is inviting street dancers across South Korea to compete in this incredible two-day event in Chongzuo City, China with the chance of winning over $10,000 in prizes, being crowned an Asia Pacific Street Dance Champion and representing their country at the World Championships.

The Asia Pacific Street Dance Championships, will give dancers and teams of all ages across Asia and Australasia an incredible opportunity to showcase their talents and skills. Throughout the weekend, dancers will perform their electrifying routines, including popular street dance styles such as Hip Hop, Breakdance, Popping and Locking. Watching on will be a panel of celebrity judges consisting of leading industry choreographers and well-known professional dancers, including the known father of street dance, Buddha Stretch.

The event promises to be a show-stopper, with a wide range of energetic competitions across different performance categories, including solo dancers, duos and teams, coupled with dynamic performances and inspiring masterclasses.

The highest positioned winners of the different categories will then qualify for UDO's acclaimed World Championships, held in Europe in August 2019, which brings together over 10,000 people over an incredible four-day event. Last year saw Japanese team Kagoshima being crowned O18 advanced World champions. This year they will be returning to defend their title.

UDO is one of the largest Hip Hop dance organizations in the World with over 80,000 members and partners across 30 countries. UDO hold qualifying competitions across Asia Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand and Japan, as well as major events and championships throughout Europe and in America.
