(샌프란시스코 2018년 7월 11일 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) 가상현실 엔터테인먼트 콘텐츠 제작사 펜로즈 스튜디오는 오늘 트랜스링크 캐피탈(TransLink Capital) 이 리드한 시리즈 A 투자가 완료되었다고 발표하였습니다.

이번 투자 라운드에는 트랜스링크 캐피탈 외에 신규투자자인 KT, Salesforce CEO인 Marc Benioff, 그래미상 수상 아티스트이자 VR 제작자인 Will.I.Am, Co-Made, 그리고 기존 투자자인 Sway Ventures, 8VC와 Suffolk Equity가 참여하였습니다.

016년 3월 Seed 투자 유치 후, 펜로즈 스튜디오는 "The Rose and I" 와 "Allumette"을 제작하였습니다. Penrose Studios Raises $10M in Series A Funding

-- San Francisco-based Virtual and Augmented Reality Startup Continues to Climb with Prominent Investors

SAN FRANCISCO, July 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Penrose Studios, the creator of award-winning virtual reality entertainment, today announces the close of its Series A funding, led by TransLink Capital.

In addition to TransLink, the financing round includes a number of new and returning investors. New investor partners of the studio include entrepreneur and SalesForce founder and CEO Marc Benioff, Grammy-award winning artist and VR creator will.i.am, Korea Telecom and Co-Made. Returning investors include Sway Ventures, 8VC, and Suffolk Equity.

Since the company's historic seed funding announcement in March 2016, Penrose Studios produced "The Rose and I" which was launched in Samsung's Gear VR and "Allumette" which was featured in the 2017 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). More recently, Penrose Studios launched a new series, Arden's Wake, which includes two installments, The Prologue and Tide's Fall. Arden's Wake: The Prologue premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2017 and received the top Lion award from Venice Film Festival for Best VR.
